The Phonomenon

This is Pho. This delectable treat serves as my dinner 1-3 times a week. In fact, I'm definitely eating pho for dinner tonight on my way to work. It runs at about $6.50 for a medium bowl. I usually buy mine to go since I pretty much work next door. What is Pho you ask? Pho is a Vietnamese soup, typically served with a side of bean sprouts, chili peppers and lime wedges. Pho usually contains beef broth, rice noodles and thinly cut beef strips, though in some restaurants you can order shrimp or, sometimes, chicken pho. You can order the beef rare, medium rare or well done (the medium rare beef will cook whilst sitting in the soup). Most restaurants will serve sauces such as hoisin sauce and hot Sriracha sauce (the good shit). I would suggest adding a bit of both to the soup. Most people would compare Pho to Ramen soup, but obviously Pho is of much higher quality and without preservatives like MSG. This food is typically eaten with chopsticks and spoons, simply because the rice noodles can be quite long. But if you're hardcore like me + Seth, you slurp that shit like a japanese porn star. Just... dont let it get in your eye. Trust.
