Call of Duty 4 SUCKS.

Call of Duty sucks.

I'll start off by saying this- I've been playing first person shooters since doom, quake, duke nukem 3d ect. I've been playing Counter-Strike since its release as a 3rd party mod for half-life. I still play.

Why does Call of Duty piss me off? First of all... I've never been a fan of singleplayer FPS. Medal of Honor was good. COD1 Was great. Call of Duty 2 was alright. Now... After the release of COD3, they have been introducing a whole bunch of different multiplayer maps... HUGE maps... maps that completely compromise the original concept and gameplay associated with Call of Duty. These maps harbor a new level of camping and spawn killing in multiplayer games.

Call of Duty 4 is where everything went wrong. These maps are RIDICULOUS. It's almost impossible to know where you are, because everywhere you look there is an enemy. You have to be spinning around every second to check the "spots", though there really are no spots, because every window (there are about 20 windows all around you) is camped. There is absolutely no way to do well in multiplayer unless you are camping in a house fortified with C4 on all fronts. It breaks my heart that FPS games are now reduced to this horrible gameplay. What ever happened to straight-forward, 2 sided maps with 3 or 4 routes on each side, with much room for actual tactics and team strats? Breaks my heart. COD4 would be such a good game if they would just make maps that made sense. Or at least ... make maps that allow a team leader the ability to control their players... instead of forcing everyone to fight for the next camp spot.
